Hubby has always said he’d love 100 acres in the woods (or something crazy like that). But, this city girl has a thousand responses to discourage that kind of crazy thinking. The first response I always toss out is that he’d need to hire security for us whenever he is out of town, (yes, I don’t mind admitting that I’m a bit of a chicken). Then I remind him how much we save in gas by living close to work and the girls’ school…I’m sure he doesn’t buy that excuse, because any money we save by living close probably gets spent at Target on one of my many weekly trips…I don’t want to even think about how much it will hurt my pocketbook when Hobby Lobby opens up at Tulsa Hills, but the girls and I can hardly wait!

How I envision life on 100 acres of land – straight out of a spooky story!

So, when we built our first house in 2011 we compromised, as any happy couple would do. And by that I mean he wanted land and I wanted a neighborhood close to our friends and our jobs (and…yes, having Target within walking distance didn’t hurt either). So, we compromised and built our house within about five miles to both our jobs, near a shopping center in the best neighborhood in Tulsa!
