We are in love with the barn! It’s providing shade and a nice place to sit…and the girls are in love with opening and closing the barn doors. 😉

The huge garage doors were finally installed this week. There are two doors, almost opposite each other, one is 12′ x 14′ and one is 10’x 10′.

House walls are finally going up! They started framing the house this Tuesday, the 23rd.

The first wall standing in the new house is one of the walls of the art room. The second wall constructed for the house is part of the game room. Pretty fun places to start!

Thursday was a pretty fun day, too. We were all excited that our tractor finally arrived. Shane moved some dirt around and filled in a low spot that kept holding water…in fact, we spotted a crawdad in this puddle earlier this week!

Crawdad in the mud puddle!

Sadie got to take the first ride on the tractor and “help”…you can see how much she enjoyed it! (Don’t tell her sister!)

Ainsley had a turn “driving” the tractor, too and both girls helped smooth the dirt where the puddle used to be. For the record, running that front scooper to scoop dirt and move it is much more difficult than one would think. Ainsley keeps saying that she can’t wait to help dig with the small scoop on the back!

It turns out that having a tractor around children is a little like owning a carnival ride. The girls are literally arguing about who get to ride first and begging for rides. When they are buzzing around on the tractor with their daddy, it is obvious how much they love it. It’s the little things, I guess!

I’ll post some videos of tractor rides soon.
