Our 660 house sold and we quickly abandoned our plan to simply buy a house and move in. We found and purchased the land and began working with our architect. Now for some exploring and planning!

Ariel view of the land and surrounding areas

Just for kicks and giggles, I wanted to compare the lot our 660 house was built on with our land, where we are about to build. It’s so crazy to realize the size difference – this land is fifteen times the size of our other lot. I love all the freedom our girls have on the land. They run everywhere, climb trees, examine flowers and rocks, and chase butterflies. It makes my heart so happy!

We are adding so much green space and already loving it so much!

We flew a drone to get a few before pictures while the house was still standing.

Now to make some decisions. Where to put the house, the fence, and the barn. Should we keep the old barn, or tear it down?

Decisions, decisions, decisions.
